Taigen was born and raised in Washington state in a Christian home. At the age of 15, he was invited to attend a youth rally. There he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, repented of his sins, and trusted in Christ alone for his salvation from sin. Ever since, God has been changing his life, and he is thankful for God's patient and gracious work to continue to change him in many ways.

After graduation from high school, Taigen attended Bob Jones University where he completed a BA in Bible as well as an MA in Teaching Bible. While an undergraduate, he met Crystal, whom he married in 1998. In 2000, Taigen and Crystal moved to Maine where he served as an assistant Pastor. In 2003 they were blessed with twins, Marshall and Shaylen. In 2007, he became the Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church.

 

Taigen recently completed the requirements for an M. Div. and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) through Central Seminary in Plymouth, MN.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, doing household projects, reading, and playing golf.
